TACSO Events

EU TACSO 3 project is announcing organisation of the Community Resilience Forum and inviting CSOs and CSO networks from the Western Balkans and Turkey to apply as contributors to the Forum sessions or participants of the event.

The Community Resilience Forum will be organised on 20 – 21 October 2021 in the form of physical event in Belgrade, Serbia as in line with the required COVID-19 epidemiological measures in the country. Majority of the Forum sessions will be conducted also in the real time on-line format allowing participation to limited number of participants. The exact location and link to the on-line sessions will be provided prior the event.

The Conference aims to create a regional network of activists, scientists, and organizations to strengthen the impact and protection of fundamental human rights, especially those focusing on conserving natural resources. There are numerous hotspots in the Balkan region defended by local activists, and these initiatives are vital for the entire region. Often remaining isolated, without broader support, and relying solely on their strengths, these initiatives lack the visibility and resources for more significant impact. Without the solidarity of the wider community of people whose goal is nature protection, the chances of solving problems that go far beyond the local research are diminished.
