EU TACSO 3 project has been mandated by the DG NEAR to facilitate the preparation of the EU Civil Society Guidelines for the period 2021-2027.

While internal consultations are ongoing at the Commission level, EU TACSO 3 is inviting CSOs and other interested stakeholders to share written inputs on the first draft of the Guidelines result framework. by Monday, 11 January 2021. Both general input and input by filling-in a questionnaire are welcomed.

EU TACSO 3, for the needs and in cooperation with the DG NEAR, would like to hear from civil society and make visible their efforts to the wider public through publishing success stories of their work being done in influencing (national/local) sectoral policy dialogue(s). The concept is to collect success stories that can be quoted as successful examples of cooperation between either EU, regional, national or local institutions with civil society. The deadline for submitting success stories is 15 January 2021.

For the needs of EU Office in Kosovo (EUOK), EU TACSO 3 project organised an online meeting to launch the consultation regarding the IPA Civil Society Facility and Media Programme 2021–23, Action for Kosovo. After the Consultation launch, the written contributions are to be sent to EU TACSO 3. The contributions can be in form of a comment, suggestion, useful study or report etc.

Excellent, helpful, interesting, motivating, inspiring, perfectly balanced with theory, practice and active discussion, new perspectives, broadened visions are some of the comments EU TACSO 3 received by participants of its trainings organised during November and beginning December for the CSO representatives from the Western Balkans and Turkey.

Supported by EU TACSO 3 through the P2P On-demand Programme, a group of women CSOs from Bosnia and Herzegovina gathered on 17-19 November online to work on enhancing an SOS application for reporting domestic violence.

The work done is in response to an increase in gender-based violence during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Human values, human rights, freedom, gender equality, solidarity, were the most used words in the on-line conference  held on the occasion of the World Values Day 2020.

The event, supported by EU TACSO 3 through the P2P On-demand Programme, aimed at raising-awareness about the importance of values and contributing to increased wellbeing of people, especially in a pandemic situation. 

COVID–19 pandemic, means empty schools, a strange interval for tens of thousands of students, an unidentified future for thousands of teachers, an indefinite forthcoming period…

How will we finish the year, what will happen with the grades, how are we going to teach now, whether we will have to learn new teaching methods, how will this affect our future professional lives?

A quick reaction was needed in Montenegro, like elsewhere.

“It was 8 March, when children’s joy and laughter were heard for the last time at our daily multifunctional Centre. No one knew that the next morning, everyone would feel unsafe and fearful for their lives. The pandemic came furiously in our town, and closed us off all at home, without enabling us to further provide supportive services to those most in need”, the people in the “House of the Colors”, say.

The caregivers, those pillars of humankind give their best to help the children affected by cruelty.

Rise in domestic violence, deprivation of liberty, increased vulnerability of child labourers, awareness-raising initiative on “sexting during quarantine” and “digital dating violence”, accurate, timely and necessary information…All those, at first sight not related things, are actually real threats to children detected during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Partnership Network for Preventing Violence Against Children, with over 90 member CSOs around Turkey provides a platform for communication and consultation among child rights CSOs.
